Outstanding flower size, color, and shape in both of these cultivars. These are our best f. sanguinea, and I can’t imagine a better pairing. We always strive to use the best possible genetic material, and it has taken us years to get to the point where we can make what we believe is a top quality combination. Not to be missed!

‘Arthur Chadwhick’ has stood the test of time, proving it is a hearty, strong growing plant with excellent flower quality. ‘Bravo Orchids’ has incredible dark purple flowers with impressive petal width. We believe this cross is going to produce excellent progeny showing vigorous growth and large shapely flowers in a range of dark colors. Plus, we treated (t) the protocorms with oryzalin to induce the conversion into tetraploids. Not all will convert, but the ones that do will be phenomenal. 3” pots $35

L. Pacavia (L. purpurata 'Hot Nights' AM/AOS x L. tenebrosa 'SVO Vinicolor')
This grex was registered 123 years ago and has been re-made many times over the years. With this remake we have chosen to use the dark purple color forms of the species. Pacavia has a handsome plant habit with straight upright growths and leaves. They bloom reliably in June and July, and mature plants will be showstoppers. Expect impressive flower size, strong stems of 5-7 richly-colored dark purple flowers with bold contrasting lips. And if that was not enough, the protocorms were treated (t) with oryzalin to help induce higher ploidy. The converted plants will be highly desirable. 3” pots $25

C. Mareeba Tiger (C. leopoldii 'SVO Dark Blood' x C. schilleriana 'Afri' SM/JOGA)
This is one of the great bifoliate hybrids. Flowers are huge, waxy, fragrant, and spotted with red lips and 12-17 flowers on a stem! This is our third offering of this cross, and plants from the first two releases received 13 AOS awards! That is an amazing result - the judges were obviously impressed. ‘Windflower’ is a very fine example of the species. Its flowers are nearly perfect in form and rich in color with dark purple lips. Petals are flat with superb flower presentation on sturdy stems. Treated (t) with oryzalin, to induce higher ploidy. Plants that convert will be very desirable and valuable.

This is a very floriferous cultivar, usually blooming with 30 and sometimes 34 flowers. The coerulea color form is quite rare. Outstanding late summer bloomers. 3” pots $25

C. walkeriana (C. walkeriana 'SVO Whopper' AM/AOS x C. walkeriana 'Suprema')
‘SVO Whopper’ is an outstanding example of the species, with large flowers and good shape. It’s also a prolific grower and bloomer. Here we have paired it with ‘Suprema’, a new acquisition from Brazil. We believe this is the best walkeriana we have seen. The flower shape is literally “off the charts” with the largest, widest, fullest petals. We are expecting some exceptional plants from this breeding. If you are collecting, you really need at least one of these, they are excellent. 3” pots $30
