We are pleased to offer this selection of our hybrids and species in flask. I hope you will be impressed by these offerings.I use only the finest parental stock. These are now in the 'spread' stage and I am taking orders for final replates. Once ordered, it will generally take from 8-10 months before they are ready to ship.  The number of replates available from any cross is limited so order early as not to be disappointed. The flasks will have 25 plants each and are priced  as marked, plus shipping.

(Ctsm. tenebrosum ‘Ed#3' x Ctsm. tenebrosum ‘Jim' AM/AOS)

‘Ed#3' is the proven parent of the highly awarded grex Ctsm. Donna Wise. It looms with 20 or more very dark flowers of excellent shape on a well arranged arching inflorescence. The tenebrosum ‘Jim' was awarded its AM with 51 flowers on 2 inflorescences, the highest flower count of any awarded tenebrosum! This mating is as good as it gets, there have not been many Ctsm. tenebrosum for sale lately and here the two of the best are used…

(Clo. Jumbo Lace ‘SVO' x Ctsm. Frilly Doris ‘SVO' AM/AOS)

Jumbo Lace (Cl. Rebecca Northen x Ctsm. fimbriatum) these are frilly lipped flowers with long lasting qualities due to the influence of the Clowesia Rebecca Northen. The Frilly Doris also has a frilly lipped flower of large size, high flower count and near perfect arrangement. This cross was developed to reinforce the unusual frilly lip and add flower longevity. These will be trigger less flowers although there is a lot of Catasetum in the back ground. I am expecting flowers to last 4 weeks or longer.

SVO 2206

(Susan Fuchs ‘Burgundy Chips' FCC/AOS x Ctsm. denticulatum ‘SVO'AM/AOS)

‘Burgundy Chips' well deserved its FCC; it blooms with 15 to 17 flowers of spectacular size and color. The denticulatum is exceptional, it won the Ann and Phil Jessup best species award and was featured on the cover of ‘Orchids' magazine. Ctsm. denticulatum is a small growing plant not taller than 6”, the colorful flowers are 1 ½” across and carried 20 or more per stem. We are breeding for plants of reduced size while enhancing the flower color and keeping flowers size at about 2” in natural spread. A new direction in Catasetum breeding.

SVO 2207

(Ctsm. denticulatum ‘SVO' AM/AOS x Ctsm. denticulatum ‘SVO Yellow Lip')

These two denticulatum's are superior, one with a dark red lip and the other with a bright yellow lip. These small stature plants with have 1 ½” wide flowers carried 20 or more per inflorescence. A very nice easy growing Catasetum well worth adding to your collection.

SVO 2211

(Ctsm. Portagee Star ‘Brian Lawson's Sunrise' HCC/AOS x Ctsm. denticulatum ‘SVO Yellow Lip')

Portagee Star (Ctsm. pileatum x Ctsm. Black Night) has a big yellow-green lip with a dark rose overlay influenced buy the pileatum, expansum, and tenebrosum in its background, the flowers are 2 ½” across carried 13 or more per stem. The denticulatum will add its great color and reduce plant size. This cross is designed to keep the yellow lip color and add burgundy spotting; these will be sunset colored blooms. A new direction in breeding.

SVO 2213

(Morm. revolutum ‘Priscilla' AM/AOS x Morm. rolfeana ‘Natural World' AM/AOS)

‘Priscilla' received its AM in November of 2007 and was just outstanding with over 20 dark burgundy flowers on the inflorescences. I saw the rolfeana when it was awarded in Maui, it had 9 large, cordovan flowers with mahogany stripes and spots. This is best example of rolfeana imaginable, it is truly spectacular. Primary hybrids are easier growing than the species and this will be no exception. Expect spectacular colored flowers.

SVO 2218

(Morm. revolutum ‘Priscilla' AM/AOS x Cyc. warscewiczii ‘Giant Swan' mutation)

‘Priscilla' is an exceptional revolutum, the ‘Giant Swan' mutation has larger and carries 2 additional flowers over the regular form. The hybrids between Cycnoches and Mormodes produce excellent results. The shape and size of the Cycnoches will be dominant and the color of the Mormodes is dominant while its shape is recessive, the best traits of both parents prevail. The progeny will have large shapely flowers with dark burgundy color. This cross will be similar to the highly awarded Cycd. Midnight Magic.

SVO 2229

( Cyc. warscewiczii ‘Giant Swan' mutation x Morm. ignea ‘Hawaiian Orchid Source' AM/AOS)

The ‘Giant Swan' mutation has larger and carries 2 additional flowers over the regular form for a total of 9 per stem. The ignea has unusually formed flowers with a nearly flat presentation of its segments, this not often seem in Mormodes. The flower color is a bright orange, peppered with burgundy spots. As with above this cross will have the fine shape imparted by the warscewiczii and the orange color and spotting from the Mormodes. These will be flowers with very exotic colors. Really nice breeding.
